The first involves competing with other people for what is perceived to be “limited” resources — money, market share, customers, fame, accolades, awards, prizes, or whatever else appears to be limited supply.
In the competitive realm, you believe wholeheartedly in the notion of “external competition.” You believe in the idea that external competitors can take what’s yours. And this becomes your reality.
The second (and more enjoyable) way to make money involves creating your success on your terms, REGARDLESS of whatever appears to be going on externally. In this creative realm, you tap unto the unlimited resources of the universe, even if you can’t see them with your physical senses yet. Your life is governed according to your belief, or faith, in certain universal principles, rather than a belief in the so-called rules and limits of humanity.
In the creative realm, you create your own success. Your only “competition” is your small self — the part of you that believes you’re limited. Said another way, your only competition is who you were yesterday. Instead of concerning yourself with what others are doing or not doing (in the competitive realm), you’re putting 100% of your focus on being the best version of yourself you can possibly be, while building YOUR business to its highest heights.
Trying to get rich on the competitive plane can be very stressful and draining…I know, because I did that for years, and it never worked out well.
Usually any money you earn competitively can be wiped out, or taken from you in an instant…and you’re always afraid of losing it. You’re constantly subject to external conditions, market conditions, perceived limitations, and the opinions of other people. You’re always compelled to please someone else, and your fate is in the hands of others.
By contrast, when you operate in the CREATIVE plane, an entire world of possibility, joy, and pleasure opens up to you. You’re no longer a prisoner of what other people think of you. You’re no longer limited by something “out there.” You’re free to create a business that is wildly successful, and which creates space for the other important priorities in your life — family, fun, hobbies, passions, and whatever else makes your heart sing.
For the aforementioned reasons, one of the primary Anti-Marketing principles is: “Choose to Get Rich on the Creative Plane, Not the Competitive Plane.”
A basic sales funnel has 4 parts, all of which can be outsourced to someone who knows how to do them effectively:
- A free educational gift, which answers people’s most burning questions (including questions they didn’t even know they had), in relation to your product. You give people this free gift, in exchange for their email address.
- A landing page (or other simple web page) where you promote your free gift.
- An email autoresponder sequence, i.e., a series of pre-written emails that are delivered automatically to new subscribers, encouraging them to buy your product.
- A sales page that features your product, the story behind it, and a BUY button.
The best part is — when you set it up CREATIVELY, people will love the content. It won’t feel like typical marketing drivel to them. It’ll be a life-changing gift and enjoyable experience for them to go through your sales funnel.
For a product-based business, sales funnels represent the ultimate “Anti-Marketing” strategy for achieving wealth. You don’t have to ask for anyone’s permission…or check what the market is doing…or analyze what your “competition” is up to.
You simply create a system designed to give people value.
One of the basic laws of the universe is that you cannot give value, without having that value returned to you tenfold. So it’s in your best interests to create sales funnels.
I’ve been creating them for years. I love watching the seemingly miraculous change that takes place for a business, when it starts utilizing sales funnels creatively.
Usually within 5 minutes of looking at someone’s website and store page, I can tell which kind of sales funnel would allow the business owner to generate tens, or hundreds of thousands of extra dollars in sales very quickly.
So don’t worry about what “competitors” are doing…their actions don’t concern you.
